Trending Tuesday

I’ve always been partial to neutrals; they’re effortless and I already have a bright pop of color everywhere I go (ginger probz). When I’m up early before work, I reach first for the neutral pieces in my wardrobe that I know will go together in a pinch. I’ve been seeing a lot of head-to-toe neutrals happening all over the interwebs, so I rounded up a few pieces for this week’s Trending Tuesday PLUS some inspiration from a few of my favorite bloggers.

1. Forever 21 Open-Front Textured Coat

2. Boohoo Sophie Belted Trench Duster

3. Free People Sidewinder Wool Pullover

4. Charles David Rose Over-the-Knee Boots

5. Mango Alpaca Wool-Blend Sweater

6. Poverty Flats by Rian Dot Faux-Leather Backpack

7. Dream coat –> J. Crew Wool Melton Toggle Coat

Trending Tuesday

Bringing back my weekly Trending Tuesday with a trend that I’ve been seeing all over the blogosphere, but that I haven’t bought into until just a few weekends ago: suede. I’ve been crazily on the hunt for a faux-suede skirt and FINALLY found one (exact one but in black!). Below are a few suede and faux-suede pieces that are perfect to inject into your fall wardrobe (all under $50 too).

1. Cupshe Faux-Suede Button-Down Skirt – I have loved these everywhere; seriously, anyone and everyone can and should wear this this fall. I’m partial to the tan/camel colored ones and have paired mine with a white button down so far. Similar options here – olive green! – and here.

2. Old Navy Suede Lace-Up Flats – This summer I grabbed up some lace-up sandals, and I’m falling all over again for this lace-up trend for fall too. Le sigh. Poor bank account. For a more neutral version: try these out.

3. Forever 21 Faux-Suede V-Neck Dress – This looks and feels even better in person, and the big pockets give it a cool vibe. Be aware that it is truly a shift shape, so wouldn’t be able to work on everyone. For that reason, here are some fit-and-flare versions: here and here.

4. Forever 21 Pointed Zip-Up Booties – The full suede/faux-suede texture amps up this classic style a bit, and the zip is a nice touch too. I’ve always loved F21 shoes and have never had any issues with something being too low quality. I treat my shoes really nicely though, as you should, so yea.:)

5. Asos New Look 70’s Suedette Saddle Bag – Love, love, love. I’ve been on the hunt for a “mini” bag, and love the saddle shape on this one. Plus, that hardware. <3

Anyone else on the hunt for suede/faux-suede pieces for fall? I’m kind of obsessed at the moment. Helpppp.

Trending Tuesday

This week’s trend is based on another trending color (featured cobalt blue a few weeks back), one that’s especially perfect for the summer. I’ve just recently found my love for white; it was something I stayed far, far away from, as I am fairly accident prone. But I love it mixed with summery textures like lace and embroidery or working as a substitute for classic black (a neutral is a neutral, after all).

1. Mural Slouchy Boyfriend Blazer – I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect slouchy white blazer (as I mentioned a few weeks ago).

2. Steve Madden Stecy Sandals – Ummmm, obsessed with these! <3 (AND they're on sale!)

3. Topshop Lace Insert Body-Con Tube Skirt – In love with the lace inserts!

4. Topshop Feline Wraparound Ankle Strap Sandals – These remind me of espadrilles, and the added ribbon makes it super feminine and summery.

5. Charlotte Russe Lace-Trim Off-the-Shoulder Flounce Dress – The off-the-shoulder trend is really taking off for the summer (another “trend” that I keep asking… Did it ever go away?!). Plus, a LWD will make a great addition to your closet.

6. Forever 21 Scalloped Floral Crochet Top – Besides the amazing floral crochet overlay, I can see this top styled a dozen different ways, perfect for jeans or for a high-waisted skirt.
