Trending Tuesday

I’ve always been partial to neutrals; they’re effortless and I already have a bright pop of color everywhere I go (ginger probz). When I’m up early before work, I reach first for the neutral pieces in my wardrobe that I know will go together in a pinch. I’ve been seeing a lot of head-to-toe neutrals happening all over the interwebs, so I rounded up a few pieces for this week’s Trending Tuesday PLUS some inspiration from a few of my favorite bloggers.

Fall Wish List

It’s only natural to want to add new items to your wardrobe with each new season. But it certainly feels overwhelming and frustrating to constantly feel the need to shop and “keep up” with other bloggers or stylish people in general. I’m feeling that frustration even more so now that I have a car payment to make (um, but now I have a new car, so, I’ll be fine), and my shopping budget is now nonexistent. In order to stay sane… and because I like to make collages… here’s my fall wish list! Emphasis on the wish

1. Steve Madden Hooded Wrap Coat

2. Vince Camuto Asha Leopard Satchel

3. BaubleBar Gold Pyramid Ear Crawlers

4. Sperry Top-Side Saltwater Waterproof Duck Booties

5. BaubleBar Four Points Pendant Necklace

6. Zara Check and Striped Scarf

Last year’s winter wish list still looks pretty relevant! What can I say? I’m a creature of habit and cozy scarves.

Take Me to the Tropics

Thrifted Loft petite blouse (similar here) // thrifted floral cropped pants (similar prints here & here) // d’Orsay flats from Target (similar) // House of Harlow earrings (exact here)

I’ve never really been one to crave the beach every summer. I’ve always craved vacation, in general, and traveling and exploring a new place. Since… forever… I have been very pale and a tad OCD so the idea of endless sun and sand just isn’t very high up on my priority list. But after our cruise earlier this year, all I’ve been able to think about is sitting on the beach somewhere enjoying the weather. Add a good book and a cold drink. Done.

Until that time comes, I have outfits like these to pretend I’m in a tropical place. And in other news… I booked a plane ticket to Boston, I’m spending the weekend in the D/FW, and I’m turning 24 tomorrow. So, really, this summer is beginning to look pretty adventurous. ;)
